Services
What services does J&A BuniStack provide?
J&A BuniStack provides web development, e-commerce solutions, custom business software, AI solutions and automation, cloud and DevOps, cybersecurity, and SEO and digital growth services. Most engagements combine several of these disciplines - for example, a custom application with cloud hosting, integrations, and ongoing search support. We start by understanding the business problem, then recommend the combination of services that addresses it.
Can you build custom business software?
Yes. We design and build software around your processes rather than forcing your team into a generic tool. Typical systems include CRM and ERP platforms, inventory and booking management, customer portals, operational dashboards, and internal workflow tools. Projects usually begin with a short discovery phase that documents how the business works today, including the exceptions, and then deliver in stages so useful parts reach production early.
Do you develop e-commerce websites?
Yes. We build storefronts on established platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce, and fully custom storefronts when off-the-shelf options no longer fit your model. Work typically covers catalogue and variant structure, product pages, checkout, payments, shipping, tax, and inventory integration. We also improve existing stores where the platform is sound but the buying journey is not.
Can you integrate AI into existing systems?
Yes. We add AI capabilities to systems already in use, including support assistants grounded in your own documentation, internal knowledge search, document summarisation, lead qualification, and workflow automation. Integration is done through your existing APIs and data sources wherever possible. We also tell you plainly where AI is not the right answer, and we keep human review in the loop for anything sensitive or high value.
Can you maintain an existing website?
Yes. We maintain sites we built and sites built by other teams, subject to a review of the codebase and hosting setup. Maintenance can include updates, security patching, backups, performance monitoring, content changes, and incremental improvements. If the existing build is unstable or unsupported, we will say so and outline the realistic options before agreeing a plan.
Do you offer SEO and digital growth support?
Yes. Our SEO work covers technical foundations, on-page structure, keyword and intent research, site performance, structured data, and analytics setup. We also improve conversion paths so existing traffic produces more enquiries. We report progress against measurable indicators and do not promise specific rankings, because search results depend on factors no provider controls.
Working Together
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. We work with clients in different countries and time zones, running projects remotely with calls scheduled at times that suit everyone involved. Communication is in English, and we agree working hours, response expectations, and the tools we will use at the start of the engagement. Where travel or on-site work would genuinely help, we raise it as part of the plan.
How does your development process work?
Most projects follow a similar path: discovery, planning, design, development, testing, launch, and support. Discovery establishes what the business needs and what success looks like, and planning turns that into a scoped sequence of work. Development runs in short cycles with regular demonstrations, so you can see and steer progress rather than waiting for a single delivery at the end.
How do you communicate during a project?
Every project has an agreed primary contact on both sides, a shared channel for day-to-day questions, and a recurring progress call. Work is tracked visibly, so you can see what is in progress, what is waiting on feedback, and what comes next. Decisions and change requests are recorded in writing to avoid misunderstandings later.
What happens if our requirements change mid-project?
Requirements usually change once people see working software, so we plan for it. Changes are discussed, estimated, and then either swapped for something of similar size or added as a new phase, and you decide which. Anything that affects timeline or cost is agreed in writing before the work begins.
Technology
Which technologies do you work with?
We work primarily with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js on the web, with PostgreSQL and other relational databases, and with Python where data or AI work calls for it. On the platform side we work with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and with established model providers for AI features. We choose based on your requirements and your team's ability to maintain the result, not on novelty.
Can you connect systems that don't talk to each other?
Yes, system integration is a significant part of what we do. Where an API exists we integrate directly; where it doesn't, we use documented approaches such as scheduled exports, a middleware layer, or a purpose-built service. We agree which system owns each type of record, then add validation, retries, and alerting so problems are visible rather than silent.
How do you approach security and data protection?
Security is part of how we build rather than a check at the end. Access control, input validation, secrets management, dependency review, and secure configuration are handled during development, and automated checks run in the delivery pipeline. We work within your data-protection requirements and can sign confidentiality agreements. Where a formal audit or penetration test is needed, we scope the testing and rules of engagement in advance.
Pricing
How much does a project cost?
Every project is quoted individually, because cost depends on scope, complexity, integrations, and timeline rather than a standard price. After we understand what you need, we provide a written quote with the work broken down so you can see what drives the cost. Where a budget is fixed, we can shape the scope to fit it and identify what to defer to a later phase.
What affects the cost of a project?
The main factors are the number of user roles and workflows involved, how much custom design and development is required, how many third-party systems need integrating, whether data has to be migrated from existing tools, and any compliance or security requirements. Content preparation, testing, and the level of ongoing support also influence the total. We flag cost drivers early so there are no surprises later.
How are payments structured?
Payments are normally staged against agreed milestones rather than paid entirely up front, and the exact schedule is set out in the proposal. Ongoing support and maintenance are usually billed monthly. All amounts, currencies, and terms are confirmed in writing before work starts.
Support
Do you provide ongoing support?
Yes. We offer ongoing support and maintenance arrangements covering monitoring, updates, security patching, backups, bug fixes, and small improvements. Support hours, response expectations, and what is included are agreed in advance so both sides know what to expect. Clients can also choose a project-only engagement and handle maintenance in house, and we will provide the documentation needed to do that.
What happens after launch?
After launch we monitor the system, confirm that monitoring, backups, and alerts are working as intended, and resolve anything that surfaces in the first weeks. We hand over documentation, credentials, and access so the work is not locked to us. From there, clients either continue on a support arrangement or move into the next phase of development.
Do you provide training for our team?
Yes. Training is part of delivery rather than an optional extra. We provide written documentation and walkthrough sessions for the people who will use and administer the system, and record sessions where that helps. Further training can be arranged when staff change or when significant new features are added.
Getting Started
How do we get started?
Get in touch through the contact form or by email with a short description of what you need. We will arrange an initial conversation to understand your business, your current systems, and what a good outcome looks like. If there is a fit, we prepare a written proposal covering scope, approach, timeline, and cost. If there isn't, we will tell you and point you in a more suitable direction where we can.
What should we prepare for the first conversation?
Nothing formal is required. It helps to know the problem you want solved, who it affects, roughly which systems you use today, and any deadline or budget range you are working within. Existing documentation or examples of work you admire are useful but optional. The first call is a conversation about the problem, not a sales presentation.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary with scope. A focused website can take a few weeks, while custom software with integrations and data migration typically runs over a longer period in several phases. After discovery we give you an estimated schedule with milestones and update it as work progresses. Where a fixed launch date matters, we plan the scope around that date.
